I've had photography as my hobby since the middle of the 90's. First with a compact film camera and then with a SLR starting from 1997. I've taken photos of many genres: Landscape, Birds, Family events, Some weddings, Conserts, Cities, Architecture.
My first "real camera" was a Canon EOS 500N. I started with landscape, nature and some event photography with it. At that time it was convenient to use slide film, as the development process was more affordable than photos.
Later I switched it to a Canon EOS 5 which I still have. This was a semi-pro camera with an incredible continous shooting of 5 frames per second. That ate the 36 exposure film in 7 seconds.
With the EOS 5 I've taken photos of weddings, family events, concerts and some nature and landscape.
My first DSLR was the Canon EOS D60 (not 60D). It had a tiny screen and all the 6 megapixels.
Few years ago (5) I sold all my camera equipment in lack of motivation :(
At then my equipment was:
- Canon EOS 40D
- Canon EF 17-35mm / f2.8 (yes correct, the oldish one)
- Canon EF 50mm / f1.4 USM (very good)
- Benbo Trekker tripod (I believe it was this)
- Manfrotto ball head
